Small projects need love too. This one I’m particularly honored to have done. Varo Bank, an equitable online banking system, is working to close the wealth gap – finance is inherently racist or at least, banks are the product of a world that systemically leaves out and oppresses Black people. We educated our audience on Varo’s mission through this video called “The Opportunity Gap”. What I wanted to convey in that title and insight is that communities of color are not lacking in anything but opportunity, and Varo Bank is striving to give them one.
